Dr. Isidro “Dan” Eleazar Zarraga is currently Sr Director and Head of Genomic Medicines drug product development (GMU DP) at Sanofi (formerly Genzyme Sanofi). Dan grew up in the Philippines and went to the US for his PhD studies in chemical engineering at the University of Notre Dame.

After an Industrial-Academe PostDoc with Abbott and Georgia Tech, he started his 20+ year career in Biopharma development in industry, working for companies such as 3M, Genentech, and now at Sanofi. While at Genentech, he started a collaboration in 2010 with Professors Wagner and Liu at the Univ Delaware and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), on neutron scattering techniques for biopharma formulations and process development of biologics medicines including monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) for oncology and protein drugs for ophthalmology.
